Kitchen Collapse at Dunluce Castle

Here's a illustration showing the kitchen collapse at Dunluce Castle. The story goes that during a heavy storm, part of the cliff subsided and fell into the sea, taking the castle's kitchen with it and a number of the staff who were working in it at the time.

The incident, which happened in 1639, eventually led to the MacDonnells abandoning Dunluce Castle for safer living quarters.
